The tannery Joh.Rendenbach Jr, was founded in 1871 by the great-grandfather of the current proprietor Hanns Rendenbach and belongs to the last few old-established firms in Trier. As one of only four manufacturers in Germany, we produce durable, cellular sole-leather using the century-old, classic method of oak-bark ground tanning for top range shoes and shoe repairs as well as for the orthopaedic and fitted shoe markets.
