The overall mission of the Fur Institute of Canada is to promote the sustainable and wise use of Canadas fur resources. The Fur Institute of Canada, a national non-profit organization, has acted as a round table for fur trade, animal welfare and furbearer conservation issues since 1983, and is the coordinator for overall implementation of the Agreement on International Humane Trapping Standards in Canada.
